Moving Metal is a family-owned and operated business in St. Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba. Peter leads day-to-day operations, while Tash runs the back end, managing finances and keeping the business organized. Even their children have all contributed, from detailing, assisting with office tasks to running errands. Peter’s love for vehicles began at the age of 15 when he started working on his first muscle car, a 1969 Beaumont. Since then, he has had a variety of vehicles to soup up and play with, including his Beaumont, which clocked a 10-second quarter mile in Gimli. Whether it’s ATVs, side-by-sides, race cars, work trucks, or the family vehicle, Peter can’t help himself but to upgrade and improve every vehicle, keeping up with the latest trends in the automotive world.
Peter has earned a reputation as the “vehicle whisperer.” Friends, family, and neighbors often turn to him for advice—what models are most reliable, which years to avoid, and where the best deals can be found. That deep knowledge and honest insight shapes everything we do at our dealership.
At Moving Metal, we go above and beyond the standard Manitoba safety requirements by performing our own in-house Confidence Check. This includes inspecting key areas not covered by a standard safety, such as suspension wear, fluid condition, brake life, tire tread, battery health, and rust prevention.
